Once you've submitted your application, your interest in the job is shared with the employer for their review. Employers then reach out to applicants who they feel are best qualified for their roles.
To find jobs that allow you to work from home, search for jobs that have locations specified as 'remote'. This indicates that the work can be done off site at a location other than the employer's workplace.
